Agreement between User and www.InsuranceMD.com
Welcome to www.InsuranceMD.com. The www.InsuranceMD.com website (the “Site”) is comprised of various web pages operated by InsuranceMD, LLC (“InsuranceMD”). www.InsuranceMD.com is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the “Terms”). Your use of www.InsuranceMD.com constitutes your agreement to all such Terms. Please read these terms carefully, and keep a copy of them for your reference.
www.InsuranceMD.com is an E-Commerce Site.
InsuranceMD provides an online platform for insureds to shop for Insurance. Insurance may include products for Life, Disability, Pet, Car, Home, or any other insurance products available to individual consumers.
Privacy
Your use of www.InsuranceMD.com is subject to InsuranceMD’s Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the Site and informs users of our data collection practices.
Electronic Communications
Visiting www.InsuranceMD.com or sending emails to InsuranceMD constitutes electronic communications.
You consent to receive electronic communications and you agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures and other communications that we provide to you electronically, via email and on the Site, satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
Your Account
If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password. You may not assign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or entity. You acknowledge that InsuranceMD is not responsible for third party access to your account that results from theft or misappropriation of your account. InsuranceMD and its associates reserve the right to refuse or cancel service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion.
Children Under Thirteen
InsuranceMD collects personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. InsuranceMD collects this information for the following reason(s):
- InsuranceMD may collect information about minor children for the purposes of being named as a beneficiary on an insurance policy.
- InsuranceMD may collect information about minor children for the purpose of providing insurance policies to minors.
We provide information about our personal data practices for children on our home page and wherever we knowingly collect personal data from children on our Web site. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use this website. If you are a parent and you have questions regarding our data collection practices, please contact us using the information provided at the end of this Agreement. If you are under 18, you may use www.InsuranceMD.com only with permission of a parent or guardian.
Cancellation
Application cancellations cannot be done via text, email, or Voicemail. You must have a direct conversation with a InsuranceMD licensed agent or you must send an email containing a signed and dated letter requesting that your application be terminated to info@InsuranceMD.com.
For cancellation of an in-force policy, you may do so by contacting a licensed InsuranceMD agent directly or by sending info@InsuranceMD.com an email to make this request. Documentation will be required to sign by your individual carrier in order to cancel your contract and a InsuranceMD agent will provide this documentation to you upon request. Most carriers will return your unused premium back to you.
